Projection: need to automatically qualify

NC A&T's resume reads like a team with clear upside but little margin for error: road wins at Morgan State and UNC Greensboro and a comfortable victory over South Carolina State show they can close out peer opponents, yet heavy defeats at South Carolina, Davidson and Charlotte and a neutral-site setback to Howard expose how they struggle against higher-level competition. The remainder of the slate features true road tests at William & Mary, Elon, Monmouth and UNC Wilmington along with home chances against Hofstra and Campbell, so there are legitimate opportunities to add meaningful wins but many of them must come away from their own floor. Until the Aggies produce a signature result on the road or at a neutral site to offset those damaging losses, their profile will be viewed as promising but fragile with limited room to absorb another bad outcome.
