Projected seed: 15 (automatic qualifier)

TN Martin’s resume is built around a pair of true road statement wins at UNLV and Bradley that prove it can travel, but those high points are undercut by damaging blowouts at Southern Illinois and at Southeast Missouri State and a one-sided trip to Florida State that expose inconsistency and limited success against better competition. Most of the wins have come against lower-tier nonconference and league opponents so the committee will view the good road results through the lens of several severe defeats, particularly away from home. Remaining chances at Arkansas–Little Rock plus upcoming league games provide clear opportunities to improve the profile, but without a streak of quality conference wins and ultimately the conference tournament crown the resume projects as one that needs the automatic berth to reach the NCAA field.
